James Daniels

Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council

James Daniels is the Deputy General Counsel of CMS Labor Relations for the State of Illinois. He is involved in all aspects of litigating and resolving grievances, ULPs, and petitions arising out of the fifty agencies under the Governor’s Office.  Before working for CMS, James worked for over a decade as a staff attorney with the Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council, where he negotiated collective bargaining agreements and arbitrated contract violations for law enforcement units all over the State. He lives in Springfield, where he runs a theater organization called White Horse Players.  He graduated from John Marshall law School in Chicago in 2005.
