Peter Tapling is a life-long innovator who has been at the forefront of many different technology shifts. Peter has been part of the founding teams of 6 different companies. Peter is currently Managing Director of PTap Advisory, LLC, a services firm helping organizations understand technology in terms that can help support their business strategy. PTap Advisory is focused on payments, risk, authentication/identity and emerging technologies such as blockchain, 5G and IoT. Peter acted as Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Industry Relations for Spring Labs, building a blockchain based protocol to enable information sharing in financial services. Peter was Chief Revenue Officer for Early Warning Services during the market launch of Zelle. Peter was founding CEO of Authentify, the company that introduced Out of Band Authentication to financial services. Peter is on the board of directors of the U.S. Faster Payments Council and a member of the Board of Regents of The Payments Institute. He holds several board and advisory positions. Peter is member of the Association for Financial Professionals and an Accredited Payments Risk Professional.
