Joseph R. Mazzone is Chief Counsel at the Metropolitan Alliance of Police. He has had long term relationship, representing this union for the past 30 years. Mr. Mazzone attended St Ignatius College Preparatory High School and attended college at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then attended the John Marshall Law School graduating with a Juris Doctorate degree in 1979. He volunteered for the United States Army being honorably discharged as a Military Police Officer in October, 1971. Mr. Mazzone was a police officer with the Romeoville Police Department, then served as a Special Agent with the Illinois Bureau of Investigation. He was a prosecutor for the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office leaving that office in 1984. He then joined the Schenk Law Firm becoming a partner in 1988. His practice concentrates in the fields of Labor and Employment Law.
