Jennifer R. Sarna has been an Assistant Regional Counsel with the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), in Chicago, Illinois since 2005.  She represents HHS before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, and Departmental Appeals Board, and advises clients on a variety of labor, employment, civil rights, and health law matters.  Ms. Sarna was previously an Attorney in the HHS OGC Claims and Employment Law Branch of the General Law Division in Washington, D.C., where she began her legal career in 1999.  Ms. Sarna served as Special Assistant to the General Counsel in 2004 and received the OGC Excellence of Service Award in 2018.  She is a graduate of Knox College and Washington University School of Law in St. Louis.
