This session will focus on a union’s duty of fair representation to bargaining unit employees under the Act. We will explore the evolving landscape of duty of fair representation investigations, as well as issues highlighted in recent GC memos including: a union’s duty to communicate with grievants; union security (Beck) issues and chargeability of expenses; and relevant remedies.
